Search Is On For Young Panto Performers For Newport Riverfront's Sleeping Beauty

The search is on to find  the young company for this year’s Newport Riverfront pantomime, Sleeping Beauty. Talented young people are invited to attend auditions, which will take place at The Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre on Sunday 30th September from 10am.

Up to twenty children and young people will be selected to form two troupes, who will perform on alternate nights of the pantomime’s run. The Riverfront is keen to see children’s ‘personality’ as well as their singing, dancing and acting skills.

The audition will include the young people learning a short dance routine and singing as a group or individually. They will also be required to recite a very short poem or joke of their choice.

“All young people are invited to come along, whether they go to a drama or dance school or club, study drama in school or are complete novices and just want to give it a shot.” said Olivia Harris, Creative Producer at The Riverfront. “We’re really excited for the auditions; we have a fantastic cast so far and we can’t wait to find the final talent to make it complete!”

Sleeping Beauty will run for a month at Newport Riverfront from Tuesday 4th December 2018 to Sunday 6th January 2019.
