Youth Put On Show At Cardiff’s New Theatre

There will be a week long youth takeover at the New Theatre, Cardiff next week as young people aged 14-25 are given the chance to work with leading national and international industry experts to create their own large scale professional production during the week commencing August 1.

Artists from all different walks of the arts world will dedicate their time to mentoring and training the participants in create a visual spectacular which will include drama, circus, dance, visual art, spoken word and song.

The project is being managed by Cardiff based Arts Education charity, Arts Active who will be offering this opportunity completely free of charge.

One artist who will be taking part in the week long programme, Sophie McKeand is the Young People’s Poet Laureate of Wales and she will be working alongside artists from respected organisations including NoFit State Circus, Literature Wales, Community Music Wale, Criw Celf and Earthfall.
