Andre Rieu Sets New Box Record With On-Screen Concert

The King of Waltz, André Rieu’s Maastricht Concert broadcast in cinemas last weekend set a new box record in the UK to become the highest-grossing music concert of all time, taking more than £1.4 million (Source: Rentrak) from two screenings over the weekend.

Audiences won’t have to wait long to see André on the big screen again, as tickets are now on sale for a special Christmas event to screen in over 500 UK cinemas on Saturday November 19 at 5pm.

The festive celebration featuring a 90-minute filmed Christmas concert packed with favourites including Hallelujah, Jingle Bells and White Christmas will be performed by André and his famous Johann Strauss Orchestra along with his sopranos and tenors.

As an exclusive for cinema audiences, André will invite fans to his hometown for a live intimate tour of Maastricht’s magical Christmas highlights, and join CinemaLive host, Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins, for a Q & A to answer questions submitted by cinema audiences.
