Michael Kiwanuka To Play New Songs At Cardiff Tramshed

Following the recent release of his second album, Love & Hate, singer/songwriter Michael Kiwanuka will be playing Cardiff’s Tramshed this autumn.

Two years in the making, Love & Hate was produced in collaboration with the Grammy Award winning Danger Mouse in LA.  Kiwanuka’s  2012 debut Home Again staked his claim on the list of great British singer-songwriters. As a body of work, it was a genre-defying nod to the heritage names of soul, and reinforced the real strength of young British music talent.
Love & Hate is an outward-looking, soulful production finding Kiwanuka stepping out of his comfort zone into new areas. Much of the album was written across London, and in LA.

“I wanted to give up making music after my first album,” says Kiwanuka, “but this made me realise that I just needed a new approach to really reflect who I am now.”
