De Temps Antan from Quebec when the band make a return visit to Abergavenny’s Borough Theatre on Thursday September 8.
One of the leading names in Québecois folk music, the group were formed by three members of the band, La Bottine Souriante. Eric Beaudry, Andre Brunet and Pierre-Luc Dupuis have been exploring and performing melodies from Quebec’s musical past for over a decade.
Using fiddle, accordion, harmonica, guitar, bouzouki and a number of other instruments, the three musicians demonstrate a boundless energy found only in traditional Quebec music.
