Direct from his critically acclaimed performances at the Edinburgh Festival, Welsh star Ross Leadbeater is set to showcase his debut EP in a live show celebrating his musical favourites from the Great British Songbook at Newport Riverfront on October 1.
The award-winning singer-pianist and musical director recently topped the iTunes Classical Album Charts with his solo release and has been enjoying radio plays on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Wales, attracting rave reviews from the likes of Elaine Paige, Craig Revel Horwood, Paul O Grady, and Gaby Roslin.
Ross, originally from Abertillery, has been touring the UK since June to coincide with the album release and has just returned from a 17 show run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Ross will be appearing at The Riverfront with special West End guest Sophie Evans and local performing arts group Defying Gravity Academy.
“It’s fantastic to be bringing my live show back to Wales, where it all began for me.” Says Ross, “ I’m so looking forward to coming home and sharing the stage too with such talented performers.”
