Lynched Launch Roots Unearthed Season At St David’s Hall

THE new Roots Unearthed season gets underway in St David’s Hall’s L3 lounge next week with Dublin quartet Lynched.

Combining distinctive four-part vocal harmonies with arrangements of uilleann pipes, concertina, Russian accordion, fiddle and guitar. Lynched repertoire spans humorous music hall ditties and street-songs, classic Traveller ballads, traditional Irish and American dance tunes, plus their own original material.

Their album Cold Old Fire is equally eclectic with influences as diverse as ambient techno and psychedelic folk, to black metal, punk and rock n’ roll.

The group have recently completed a six week coast-to-coast tour of the United States followed by a sold-out UK tour and an appearance on Later…with Jools Holland.
