FOR over 25 years The Smith Quartet has been at the forefront of the world’s contemporary music scene, and will be bringing their exciting and experimental work to St David’s Hall for a lunchtime concert this Saturday at 1pm.
The quartet have established an international reputation for their dynamic style and original approach to contemporary music, and have collaborated with top artists across several genres including Pulp, Malian singer Rokia Traoré, and jazz musicians John Taylor and Django Bates.
The lunchtime concert will see The Smith Quartet perform a powerful 50 minute programme of Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass, Kevin Volans and Michael Nyman.
