Terry Pratchett fans are in for a rare treat as Newport Playgoer’s Society bring the world of magic, marvel and mayhem via The Wyrd Sisters to the Dolman Theatre stage this week.
The adaptation of this well-loved tale is directed by Stephen Briggs’ and, is directed by Jes Hynes whose recent successes have included Trainspotting, The Graduate and Fawlty Towers
Two of the charities Terry Pratchett was linked with, Alzheimer’s Research UK and The Orangutan Trust, are supporting the show and there will be collections during the week for them, as well as a presence within the theatre so people can find out more about them. Discworld Monthly, the UK’s leading Discworld fan society, will be present, and there will also be a fancy dress competition, with daily prizes and a very special overall winner’s prize.
- The show runs from today (November 15) until November 19, with evening performances starting at 7.15pm and the Saturday (matinee only) starting at 2.30pm.
