Meet The Band: Every Time I Die

Buffalo NY based band Every Time I Die are currently touring the UK in support of their eighth album Low Teens. Front man Keith Buckley along with guitarists Andy Williams and Jordan Buckley, drummer Daniel Davison, and bassist Steve Micciche will play Cardiff Globe on December 12 Andy Howells recently put questions to Keith Buckley of the band

How did you first start out in music?
My first experience was playing cover songs in my friend’s basement. He had a set of drums and our other friend had a guitar. We played Mother by Danzig.

Who or what has inspired you most on your musical journey?
Indirectly, everything I’ve ever done. Directly? My daughter. Now everything is for her. Every piece of merch sold means another bottle of formula. I don’t ever want her to want.

Can you give us some background about your latest release?
Low Teens is our 8th record and by far our best.

Do you enjoy touring?
Of course. I should hope so. Who wants to come to a show where the band doesn’t want to be there?

What can people expect from your forthcoming Cardiff gig?
If the venue allows, expect no barriers and thousands of stage dives.

What are you enjoying listening to at the moment?
 Nirvana

What else have you got planned for the rest of the year?
After we tour over there in December we come home for the holidays briefly and then off to Australia in January. Then we do a headlining run in February throughout the states
