Chepstow Screening Of Bolshoi Ballet’s Nutcracker

The Bolshoi Ballet’s presentation of The Nutcracker captured live in Moscow will be screened at Cheptow’s Drill Hall this Sunday at 4pm.

Taken from the story by ETA Hoffmann with accompanying music by Tchaikovsky, the telling of The Nutcracker as well as the staging have been continuously re-invented. Most of the choreography of the original 1892 version has been lost, so every production interprets its own view on the elusive fantasy. Ballet fans who recently enjoyed the Royal Ballet’s Nutcracker will find much to compare in The Bolshoi Ballet’s production.

Tickets £12 adult, £10 concessions are available in advance from Chepstow Museum by telephoning 01291 625981 and the Bolshoi Ballet season screenings are fundraising events in support of the Museum.
