There’s a choice of events for visitors to Newport Riverfront on February 2 when a top comedian and an Olympian host two enlightening shows.
Comedian Tiff Stevenson will perform her new show Seven. inspired by her gig at David Lynch’s nightclub in Paris, only a month before the Bataclan attacks.
Seven hinges on Tiff’s own moral dilemmas on choosing the perfect message to tweet in the wake of the tragedies. In doing so, Tiff explores the human need to make huge worldwide impactful events about ourselves, delving into morality, modernity, vanity, mental health, film reboots and clouds.
Tiff Stevenson: Seven will be at The Riverfront on February 2 at 7:45pm.
After two successful Olympic Games in London 2012 and Rio 2016, British cyclist Joanna Rowsell Shand will share her experiences with a live audience at The Riverfront on the same evening.
Born in 1988, Joanna’s greatest successes are the gold medals won in the women’s team pursuit at World Championships during the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics as well as the individual pursuit at the 2014 World Championship. She is currently reigning Olympic and European champion in the team pursuit, and reigning Commonwealth Games champion in the individual pursuit. However, due to her alopecia areata, a condition resulting in hair loss, life in the public eye hasn’t always been that easy for Joanna, despite her success.
