Following on from last year’s Cardiff celebrations for the centenary of the world’s number one storyteller, a new musical version of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox comes to Cardiff’s New Theatre from February 21 – 25.
The story follows Boggis, Bunce and Bean, three greedy, smelly, horrid farmers who hate the cunning Mr Fox. Mr Fox is smart, clever and rather fantastic, but he doesn’t realise how determined the farmers are to get revenge. Can he hatch a plan to save his family and friends? Can they outrun the diggers and outsmart the farmers? And can Rabbit shut up long enough not to give the game away?
This new commission by Nuffield and Curve in association with Lyric Hammersmith brings together a stellar creative team: playwright Sam Holcroft, director Maria Aberg, designer Tom Scutt, composer Arthur Darvill and lyricists Darren Clark, Arthur Darvill, Sam Holcroft and Al Muriel.
