Reduced Shakespeare Company Is Big On Bard Fun

Following its world premiere season at the Edinburgh Festival and a run at the renowned Folger Shakespeare Library, William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (abridged) performed by the Reduced Shakespeare Company will come to Newport Riverfront in March.

A tongue-in-cheek celebration of all things Shakespeare, the production is a hilarious celebration of British cultural heritage presented by three Americans wearing trainers delivering a better-late-than-never nod to the Bard’s 400th anniversary.

In this instance the bad boys of abridgement Joseph Maudsley, Matthew Pearson and James Percy, present this ‘new’ Shakespeare style play written and directed by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor.
