Mendelssohn Heads Programme From Vienna Tonkünstler Orchestra

THE Vienna Tonkünstler Orchestra will perform a programme of Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Dvořák at St David’s Hall on March 3 as part of the International Concert Series.

The Orchestra along with their new Chief Conductor Yutaka Sado will open the performance with Mendelssohn’s Romantic era masterpiece The Hebrides Overture, which was inspired by the composer’s visit to Fingal’s Cave located off the coast of Scotland.

Joining the orchestra for an interpretation of Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto is sensational soloist Angela Hewitt, before bringing the concert to a close with a performance of Dvořák’s New World Symphony.
