Patsy Cline To Be Celebrated At Newport Show

Sandy Kelly and George Hamilton V will pay tribute to celebrated country artist Patsy Cline at Newport Riverfront on March 16.

Patsy Cline’s music regularly featured in the charts during the 1950s and early 1960s. Her many hits included Walking’ After Midnight, I Fall to Pieces, She’s Got You and Crazy.

Patsy’s career was cut tragically short when she was killed in a plane crash in Camden, Tennessee on March 5, 1963.  However, in the decades since her untimely death her music has gained new generations of fans and in 2002 she was voted number 1 on CMT’s 40 Greatest Women in Country Music.
