Countdown To 21st Maindee Festival

The 21st Maindee Festival takes place this Saturday July 1st with a theme of Maindee Grows Up.

A free community arts festival, Maindee Festival brings together people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, abilities and faiths for a happy, fun and creative day out.

The Festival gets underway with a street parade that starts at 12 mid-day from the Rugby Club grounds on Grafton Road and leads through the streets of Maindee to an afternoon of site events from 1pm to 7pm at Maindee Primary School.

There will be three stages presenting performances of music, dance, storytelling and poetry. Among the performers will be singer/songwriter Sunjay, Local band Rogara Khart, Maindee School Clog dancers, Poems from the Port including local author Alan Roderick and singer songwriter Aled Hughes.
