Sport in the Park is set to return to outdoor spaces within Newport over the summer holiday season with fun filled days out for all the family with lots of sports and activities including; football, rugby, netball, squash, cycle tots, rounders, tennis, athletics, golf and sports day type activities.
The first event will be at the Newport International Sports Village on Thursday August 3, followed by Rogerstone Welfare Ground on Thursday August 10 and concluding with Beechwood Park on Thursday August 17, all at 11am-4pm. Entry will cost £3 per child or £5 for two children and Adults get in free. On payment of the entry fee all activities in the event are free.
Then on Thursday August 24, Newport Centre will be over-run with activities for the under 5’s in a Tots Fun Day. Games, music and taster sessions in Aqua Tots, Cheer Tots, Cycle Tots, Dance Tots, Golf Tots, Rugby Fun, Music Tots and Soccer Tots to name but a few will be on offer throughout the day (11am-3pm). Entry will cost £4 per child and £2 per extra sibling. On payment of the entry fee all activities in the event are free.
Alongside these large celebrations, Newport Live will also be offering a host of other activities for all ages in its Holiday Fun programme, including family film screenings and workshops at The Riverfront, free swimming and aquatic classes in all of its leisure centres and a Sport and Art day camp.
