South Wales saxophonist and vocalist Beverley G goes under the moniker of Miss Kitty on the Jazz and Swing music scene. Kitty has been performing jazz and vintage swing for over 13 years, and during that time has performed at Brecon Jazz and countless jazz and blues festivals in the UK, Ireland and France working with her own bands and as a session player/vocalist.
Playing tenor, alto and soprano saxophones, Kitty is an established jazz vocalist who has entertained crowds across the UK and internationally, working as a session musician and as a lead vocalist and saxophonist in various musical genres.
Kitty has recorded several albums over the years including original compositions and runs saxophone workshops for adults, running a weekly class in Cardiff Bay for intermediate level players and fortnightly in Barry for beginner saxophonists.
Performances coming up in September include Kitty and the Purramours at Off the Wall Jazz Festival on September 3, and Kitty’s Little Big Band at Whiteheads Sports and Social Club, Rogerstone on September 6 from 7pm featuring the big band sounds inspired by 30’s/40’s swing.
