After her global smash hit Pretty Girl hit the Top 10 and was certified Gold or Platinum in twelve key countries, Maggie Lindemann continues to prove that she is one of pop music’s newest pop heroines.
The 19-year-old artist recently shared a new lyric video for her current single Obsessed, which was picked as Scott Mills’ Tune of the Week on Radio 1, the track has already exceeded 13 million streams.
“Obsessed is about being with someone who only really cares about themselves,” says Maggie. “Being with someone physically, but not being able to be with them mentally or emotionally… it’s more of a play on words and a cheeky song because in the end I sing ‘I’m obsessed with myself too.’”
Maggie’s previous single Pretty Girl is now certified Platinum in the UK, Australia and Italy; double-Platinum in Ireland and Norway; triple-Platinum in Sweden; and Gold in the United States.
Maggie recently collaborated with The Vamps on their new single Personal which they recently performed together at Radio 1’s Teen Awards. It enjoyed a long run of airplay at Radio 1. Their connection continues as Maggie appears as special guest on The Vamps’ arena tour which comes to Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on April 17.
