X Factor finalist Holly Tandy will support the award-winning singer-pianist Ross Leadbeater as he returns to the Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Saturday 12th May with his brand new show celebrating the piano legends.
Ross shot to fame in 2008 with the Classical Brit Award winning group Only Men Aloud, who released two albums with Decca Records. They achieved worldwide record sales of over 300,000 and performed alongside artists such as Shirley Bassey, Bonnie Tyler and Josh Groban.
Since then Ross has embarked on a solo recording career with a chart topping EP Great British Songbook featuring the single Piano For Sale, an 18 date headline show at the Edinburgh Festival and last year landed a Top Ten Christmas hit single with You & Me & Our Christmas Tree.
In 2018, Ross shows no signs of slowing down as he follows the success of his recent BBC Radio Wales show with a busy schedule of international touring with a new live show celebrating the careers of the biggest selling piano legends of all time.
Backed by a live band and featuring the music of Neil Sedaka, Billy Joel, Barry Manilow, Elton John and Andrew Lloyd Webber alongside some original material and solo piano,.
Ross will be performing in Blackwood with special guest, X Factor finalist Holly Tandy who last year wowed all four judges with her show-stopping performance of Alicia Key’s If I Aint Got You.
Seventeen year old Holly from Barnsley, South Yorkshire made it through the Six Chair Challenge to be mentored by Sharon Osbourne in the Judges House stage.
Ross said, “I’m very excited to be back in Blackwood this year, which is like returning home for me and I’m delighted to be joined by Holly Tandy this year for this new show!”
