Kicking off the summer holidays, Newport will be welcoming back the Big Splash festival on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 July. The free family street theatre festival plans to be as intriguing, outlandish and bonkers as normal and will offer families lots to see and do.
Next, the HSBC UK National Youth and Junior Track Championships will be at the Wales National Velodrome from Monday 23 July – Friday 27 July 2018. A key event in the track cycling calendar, it offers the opportunity to see the very best young emerging talent.
Then on Thursday 9, 16 and 23 August, Sport in the Park will return to outdoor spaces in Newport to offer days packed full of outdoor sports and activities for families. Finally finishing off the large-scale events will be a Tots Fun Day organized at Newport Centre on Thursday 30 August, packed full of activities for the under 5s. All in all, a perfect summer of events for families on offer at Newport Live!
Alongside these large celebrations, Newport Live will also be offering a host of other activities for all ages in its Holiday Fun programme, including family film screenings and workshops at The Riverfront, free swimming and aquatic classes in all of its leisure centres and a Sport and Art day camp.
