Allan Yn Y Fan Announce Final Dates Of Bridges Not Walls Tour

Welsh traditional band Allan Yn Y Fan have been celebrating their 22nd year on the road with the release of their first single in September, followed by a major European tour in the Autumn. Now the band prepare for the final four dates of their Bridges Not Walls tour.

Since starting the tour in Theatr Brycheiniog on 14th September, the band has clocked up over 3500 miles, the bulk of this mileage relating to Luxembourg and Germany.  These European dates were especially memorable. Two sold out concerts in Papenburg and West Flügel, Syke; and standing ovations in Spiegelberg, Papenburg and Syke. The short tour on the continent also included the band’s first visit to Dresden – where there was a terrific welcome from that audience too.

Since then the tour has taken the band to three new locations for their touring history, namely Ffwrnes Llanelli, The Function Room, Llandidloes and the Hermon Chapel Arts Centre, Oswestry. The latter venue’s audience also responded to the band’s music with a standing ovation.

Now, Allan Yn Y Fan look forward to the final four dates of the “Bridges not Walls” tour, with return visits to The Welfare, Ystradgynlais; The Met Abertyleri and the Redwick Village Hall.  The final stop is another new location for the band – the Market Theatre Ledbury.

Significantly these concerts will mark the last four gigs with the band of founder member Geoff Cripps – so each date in its own way will be particularly memorable!
