Back To The 60s as Motown The Musical Plays Cardiff

The greatest hits of Tamla Motown will play Wales Millennium Centre later this month as Motown The Musical takes to the stage.

Edward Baruwa will play the leading role of ‘Berry Gordy’, while Karis Anderson will star as  ‘Diana Ross’, Nathan Lewis will play ‘Smokey Robinson’ and Shak Gabbidon-Williams will play ‘Marvin Gaye’.

The story follows Motown founder Berry Gordy, who with just $800 borrowed from his family, goes from featherweight boxer to heavyweight music mogul, discovering and launching the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and many more.
