Reef To Play Castle Roc Summer Show In Chepstow Castle

Touring on the back of 2018’s acclaimed album ‘Revelation’, the revitalised west-country quartet’s first studio record since 2000’s ‘Getaway’, Reef join the Castell Roc line up this year, playing Chepstow Castle on Saturday 24th August.

Formed in 1993 and quickly signed to Sony imprint S, Reef released nine Top 40 singles – most famously ‘Place Your Hands’ – and four studio albums, including 1996’s platinum-selling No.1 album ‘Glow’, plus greatest hits album ‘Together’ before disbanding in 2003.

Breaking their hiatus in 2010, the band reunited for a short tour and haven’t looked back since. In 2016, Reef returned with their first single since 2003, ‘How I Got Over’,. Reef were personally invited by Chris Martin to support Coldplay at Wembley Stadium, and also released their live album ‘Reef: Live At St Ives’, recorded over two sold-out nights at St Ives Guildhall.

In 2018, REEF returned with their long-anticipated new album ‘Revelation’. Recorded in Ireland and has been produced by long-time collaborator George Drakoulias (The Black Crowes, Primal Scream, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), the record featured a guest vocal from Sheryl Crow on lead single ‘My Sweet Love’ and arrived as their first to also feature current guitarist Jesse Wood (formerly of the Ronnie Wood band/Faces/Red Racer).

Back at the top of their game, REEF will storm Chepstow Castle with their crowd-slaying festival show on August 24.
