Cardiff’s New Theatre Reveals Autumn 2019 Schedule

There are shows and performances to delight all audiences this autumn at Cardiff’s New Theatre.

Audiences can immerse themselves in not one, but two Shakespeare performances in one week, as the Watermill Theatre Company tread the boards with A Midsummers Night’s Dream and Macbeth.

There are also opportunities for musical singalongs as some old favourites return and new productions hit the stage. The European tour of Little Miss Sunshine brings a brand-new flavour of comedy and camper vans, while Willy Russell’s classic Blood Brothers sees the actress and singer, Lyn Paul back for her farewell tour as the iconic Mrs. Johnstone.

For fans of thrillers there are several murder mysterie from Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, featuring the inimitable Susan Penhaligon, to “hilarious musical whodunit” Curtains, starring Jason Manford, Carley Stenson, and Strictly winner Ore Oduba.

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein makes for a Halloween treat this October, while established stage successes, the comedic Peter Pan Goes Wrong and the rockin’, rollin’ 50’s sensational musical, Buddy, all return to the New Theatre stage!

Finally, there is also the magical Christmas main event of the year – the fairy godmother of all pantomimes, Cinderella – a sparkling speciality for the whole family!
