Dolman Theatre’s “Cunning Plan” To Bring Blackadder II To Newport!

Newport Playgoers Society has had a cunning plan to bring multi award winning Red Herring Theatre to perform the stage adaptation of the TV comedy classic Blackadder II at Newport’s Dolman Theatre from October 15.

Bells, Head and Beer are arguably the three of the funniest episodes from Blackadder II.

In Bells, Edmund Blackadder is having ‘problems’ with his manservant Bob before Lord Flashheart arrives on the scene.

In Head, Edmund is promoted to Lord High Executioner but with the assistance of Percy and Baldrick things don’t go to plan which result in his own head being on the block.

Finally, with the arrival of his relatives, Edmund hopes to negotiate his inheritance, however double booking their visit with a massive booze-up leads to hilarious chaos in Beer.
