Comedian Andrew Lawrence visits the Borough Theatre Abergavenny on Friday 11 October at 7:30pm.
Andrew, star of Live at The Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow and UK comedy’s foremost contrarian takes a break from all the controversy in this new show entitled Clean.
Clean doesn’t feature references to politics. religion or smut, so there is no swearing. Just great jokes and good clean fun. Here, Andrew wants to showcase his writing, humour and delivery of clean material and entertain audiences without causing any offence to anyone.
Born in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, Lawrence attended Tiffin School and the University of St Andrews, where he began his stand-up career at a regular comedy night, he progressed to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he was very successful and was nominated and won awards for his shows.
Lawrence has featured in numerous radio and TV shows, mostly as a stand-up performer. He has also appeared on television as a comic actor, playing the builder Marco in the BBC TV sitcom Ideal. He has written and performed four series for BBC Radio 4 and starred in the sitcom There Is No Escape.
