On March 31, Ballet Cymru returns to Newport’s Riverfront Theatre to present a new portfolio of dance from Wales-based choreographers.
Ballet Cymru 2 – Made in Wales features the talent of the young dancers on the cusp of their professional dance careers in pieces created specifically for them.
Among the pieces are work created by Internationally renowned choreographer and last year’s Rambert Dance Choreography Fellow, Marcus Jarrell Willis (ex-dancer Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater), company dancers Alex Hallas and Danila Marzilli and top independent choreographers Jack Philp and Karol Cysewski will choreograph a selection of pieces ranging from the classical to cutting edge, innovative dance.
Ballet Cymru 2: Made in Wales follows on from last years Made in Wales presentation described by Entertainment South Wales Andy Howells as “relevant, exciting and visually captivating.”
