In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, a South Wales theatre performance arts group is set to lift morale by bringing people together by getting us all singing – online!
Out of The Darkness, presented by Kinetic Connects is a collaborative social media musical celebration of hope and positivity designed to uplift the spirits of those in isolation.
Kinetic Connects aims to bring people together via social media during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Kris Crowley of Kinetic says:
“We would like you to select a song that is happy, funny, positive, hopeful (we particularly like musicals). Record and film it, then send it to us. We will be posting these daily on our Facebook page, spreading a huge amount of positivity as well as keeping everyone entertained (especially for those who might be in isolation).
“We aim to celebrate and share each other’s work positively, while also shining a light in everyone’s talent and skill. The recordings don’t have to be solos either! If you can send it to the email address below & comment in here what song you are doing to try avoiding duplicates!
“Just record yourself performing in the comfort of your own home and send a link to the clip to: kinetic@37hrd.uk AND admin@kinetictheatrearts.com (send to both just to be sure). Kinetic are also working on a virtual choir project and need YOUR participation. Again, this can be recorded from home as Kris explains:
“We are also going to record, edit, mix and produce a MASS performance of You Will Be Found (from Dear Evan Hanson). Then with our skills & wizardry we will edit / layer this together to produce a huge positive message!
