Glass Animals Lead Singer Launches Quarantine Sessions in Wake Of Pandemic

Last week, British four-piece, Glass Animals ronted by Dave Bayley with his bandmates and childhood friends Joe Seaward, Ed Irwin-Singer and Drew Macfarlane., were in the middle of a tour that sold out in seconds which had to be evacuated. due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. This week the world is a different place entirely. Today, with news of rescheduled dates and more music to come, the band have shared the enthralling official music video for their current single ‘Your Love (Déjà Vu)’.

The video was made using a hybrid of organic and thermal imagery and features the band in a distorted, medicalized and twisted digital reality – bringing the song to life in an eerily-prophetic way only Glass Animals could.

‘Your Love (Déjà Vu)’ was released last month and is a tantalizing first hint of what is to come from Glass Animals’ third studio album. It speaks of an addiction to a painful, toxic relationship while sonically paying tribute to Missy Elliott, early Justin Timberlake and Pharell‘s production. The single was greeted with exceptionally high praise from fans and critics and it is already sitting comfortably on the BBC Radio 1 playlist whilst rapidly climbing radio, Viral and Shazam charts alike.

In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, Glass Animals frontman Dave Bayley has also launched a Quarantine Covers series on YouTube (see link above) from his own studio and shared it via the band’s socials to entertain fans at home. The first episode saw Dave cover Nirvana’s ‘Heart Shaped Box’ whilst laying bare his production process.
