Theatre Success Constellation Street Gets Live Stream Play Reading

National Theatre Wales and Sherman Theatre are to live stream the second of its Network Play Readings this weekend, Saturday 16 May at 7.00pm, read by a stellar line up of Welsh actors, in partnership with The Other Room.

Rakie Ayola, Matthew Gravelle, Rebecca Hayes and Julian Lewis Jones make up an outstanding cast in this new reading directed by Dan Jones, Artistic Director of Cardiff’s pub Theatre, The Other Room.

Constellation Street

Originally staged in 2016, Constellation Street was one of The Other Room’s biggest hits.  The reading of all four monologues offers viewers an opportunity to savour Matthew Bulgo’s honest and meticulously crafted writing.

One night under Cardiff skies, four lost souls go looking for answers. After dark, when the world is quiet, their paths weave and collide as they all go in search of salvation. When dawn breaks, life will go on but there will be another night to contend with soon enough. As the sun rises over the Taff, can anyone break free from the past?  Unflinching, funny and humane – Constellation Street is somewhere you will want to spend time.

The play is made up of four separate but interconnected monologues. They will be broadcast in one continuous performance on Saturday 16th May at 7.00pm and will then be available as separate instalments on demand for two weeks.
