If you thought this years Eurovision Song Contest was over – you are wrong!
CentreStage Cymru’s latest lockdown project at the end of June is their very own contest. Ten countries will be represented stage including the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, Ireland, Israel, Sweden and Norway with classic Eurovision hits performed by some of Centrestage Cymru’s very own stage stars.
The presentation which will go out live on Facebook’s Centrestage Cymru Friends Page on Sunday June 28 at 7pm will feature a team of ten judges and will also give the viewers at home a chance to get in on the fun and vote for their favourite.

Centrestage Cymru are previously responsible for several sell-out shows at Newport’s Dolman Theatre including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Annie, Evita and Singin’ In The Rain and were due to present Saturday Night Fever this spring before UK Government restrictions for COVID19 caused theatres to shut their doors to prevent further spread of the virus.
Recently, the society presented two online Sofa Sing Song’s and raised £560 on their Just Giving page for society funds with a percentage to be made to The Alzheimer’s Society.
