Millie Rose discusses her music DNA with Andy Howells.

What was the first song that made an impact on you?

Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid. I absolutely adored this film growing up and I used to sing this ALL the time. I still do!!

What was the first single you bought?

I can’t say I remember exactly but I’d imagine it was probably something by Mika, maybe Grace Kelly. I LOVED him when I was younger and I remember listening to his album Life in Cartoon Motion on my Dads MP3 player!

What was the first album you owned?

I think it was Miley Cyrus’ Breakout album. I used to pretend I was in the music video for 7 Things in my bedroom. I played it in my car as soon as I passed my test 10 years later!

What’s your constant go to track?

Into the Unknown from Frozen 2. I can’t resist belting along to this song.

What’s your constant go to album?

Abbey Road – The Beatles. Say no more!!

Who’s your latest music discovery?

Aurora. I recently found her cover of Across the Universe and it is beautiful, I’m obsessed!

What’s your own track that best defines you as an artist?

I’d say Don’t Rain on my Parade. It’s a powerful song that you can’t help smile at, and of course, it’s iconic musical theatre!
