Diverting from a melancholic writing style, South Wales born singer songwriter Darren Evans is starting 2021 on a positive note with the new Comino single, Goodbye.
Goodbye is a pure song of joy about his new love as Darren explains. “I would usually write as a means of therapy, whenever I felt down, so to put pen to paper when I was feeling purely happy was new for me and I loved the result.”
After writing the opening verse and chorus he sent a voice memo to the new lady in his life, and the songs’ muse, Shereen Davies who then wrote the second verse and harmonies. What has resulted is a heartfelt message between the pair.
The song was recorded in Backlight Studios, Naxxar, Malta and overseen by producer Conrad Dimech who says of the song “It was such a pleasure to work on, I just love the way it builds, and the voices complement each other.”
Previously, Darren has supported Dodgy and Let Loose along with headlining his own shows in London, and across the UK. As Comino, of which Darren fronts a collaborative collection of musicians, there have been two full albums, an EP and a collection of demo recordings with more to come.
Goodbye by Comino will be released on January 23, 2021 with an accompanying music video, premiering on YouTube.
