Lucie Jones & Lauren Drew Go Online For “One-Night Only” Leave A Light On Performances

Rachel Howells previews Leave a Light On online performances from South Wales musical theatre stars, Lauren Drew and Lucie Jones.

A new series of online one-off concerts featuring top stars from the world of musical theatre has been announced by Lambert Jackson Productions. The Leave a Light On series commences this week and two of South Wales’ best musical theatre performers, Lauren Drew and Lucie Jones will be headlining their own performances.

The new series of one-night only streamed concerts right from the homes of West End stars has been scheduled following the success of the Leave A Light On series streamed in March and April 2020.

Having originally made her name during the 2006 X Factor UK series, Pentyrch born Lucie Jones has since gone onto star in many touring productions including Legally Blonde, the Wedding Singer and Ghost the musical as well as leading the West End cast of Waitress. In 2017.

Lucie represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev with the song Never Give Up On You gaining a respectable 111 points.

Lucie Jones’s Leave a Light On performance will be on 22nd January 2021 at 7:30pm.

Musical Theatre stars will headline their own Leave a Light On performances between January 12 and January 26

Leave A Light On For X Factor UK Star, Lauren Drew

A new star in the making, Port Talbot’s Lauren Drew was the first performer to get a four-chair turn from judges will.i.am. Anne-Marie, Sir Tom Jones & Olly Murs in the 2021 series of The Voice UK.

A regular Ensemble member for several productions including Heathers, Evita and Six, Lauren has gained lots of new fans with her amazing performances.

Having seen Lauren perform live twice in both Heathers and Six, I am sure that she will be moving onto great things with Annie Marie as her coach. Do not miss this opportunity to catch a performance from her!

Leave A Light On Features Top West End Stars

Each show is recorded by the artists and then streamed out at the noted performance time from a central point with a dedicated Wi-Fi connection.

The Leave A Light On series also features further Musical Theatre stars including Lauren Byrne, Billy Nevers, The Grad Fest, Tim Mahendran, Rob Madge, Chelsea Halfpenny, Rachel John, David Hunter and Nicholas Mclean. The shows commence from Tuesday January 12 and run until Tuesday January 26.
