Is This Real explores the complexities of human relationships and the roller-coaster of emotions that can be experienced. The album tracks display a variety of genres taking the listener on an energizing journey, while experiencing a unique sound.
With elements of drum ‘n bass, classical, experimental, and electronic sounds along with Volenté’s stunning soaring vocals, Is This Real is a hidden gem for the distinguished listener.
Volenté recently revealed her Music DNA to Andy Howells.
What was the first song that made an impact on you?
I couldn’t pinpoint any particular song, as I loved the Beatles as a child but was exposed to every genre and just grew to love most music!
What was the first single you bought?
John Spencer Blues Explosion
What was the first album you owned?
The first ever album I bought was Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
What’s your constant go to track?
Röyksopp – What else is there?
What’s your constant go to album?
Juggernaut Kid – Borne & Razed
Who’s your latest music discovery?
Alice Merton – No Roots.
What’s your own track that best defines you as an artist?
I don’t feel like my music defines me as an artist because I make music in a very organic way and feel that I grow and develop with each new track I create.
What’s the track that best defines you as a person?
I wouldn’t say that my songs define me as person, as I see songwriting as a therapeutic process.
Keep Britain Free explores unity, togetherness and British patriotism and I am very pleased with the end result, as this is my first release that I have engineered and recorded independently.
