The Dolman Theatre has remained a hub of performing arts and amateur theatre in South Wales for over 50 years.
The theatre has provided a home for many community groups in and around Newport with performances including plays, musicals, dance schools, gang shows and pantomimes.
The purpose-built theatre includes a 400-capacity auditorium, three large rehearsal rooms and a 60-seat studio and is totally self-funded. Like all other theatres across the UK, the Dolman had to close its doors to all performances when the UK government-imposed restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic in spring 2020.

How to support Newport’s Dolman Theatre
Presently, a group of theatre hirers are helping raise vital funds to support the Theatre and ensure it can welcome visitors once again beyond the pandemic.
The first organised event will be a sponsored walk taking place on May 31st. People wishing to support the event can donate by visiting their gofundme page.
