Rhys Davis (Vocals/Guitar)
What was the first song that made an impact on you?
Deeper The Love by Whitesnake, I remember being sat in the back of my Dad’s car and listening to the crazy guitar stuff going on, from that point I knew, music was my passion
What was the first single /download you bought?
I’ve never actually bought a single, because I’ve always bought albums, but I did keep a copy of the limited addition Decadent Flowers single we released back when we started the band.
What was the first album you owned?
The first CD was the AC/DC Iron Man soundtrack when I was in secondary school, not quite sure why it was the first but it became the start of a nice collection I’ve built over the years, because I’ve always liked to own music on a CD
What’s your constant go-to track?
Milk by the 1975 because its so full of energy and you can play it on repeat and it never gets boring.
What’s your constant go-to album?
I’ve been listening to a lot of Wolf Alice lately, so I guess I’d pick their first album My Love is Cool but it changes a lot as I listen to so much.
Who’s your latest music discovery?
Phoebe Bridgers, her music is very different from ours but I’d like to mix it up and keep things fresh.
What’s your own track that best defines you as an artist?
Probably the stuff no ones heard yet, new music coming soon.
Sophie Jayne Bryan (Bass/Vocals)
What was the first song that made an impact on you?
Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC. Similar to Rhys, my Dad played it in the car to me when I was about 4/5 years old. I think it’s the drive of the song that got me, it’s punchy and had swag and I loved the iconic guitar solo, blew my mind.
What was the first single /download you bought?
Funnily enough before I joined the band, I actually bought the Decadent Flowers single CD, I think that was the first single I ever bought myself, everything else my parents always got or they were on Spotify.
What was the first album you owned?
It was the self titled Jojo album, I believe I picked it up at a carboot sale with my grandad with the pocket money I had. I had it on repeat on my little pink CD player that I had. Just loved the sass and the confidence she had.
What’s your constant go-to track?
It kind of depends what mood I’m in, if I’m cleaning up and feeling happy I tend to go more pop/r&b, so my go to on that one would be Work it by Missy Elliott. If I’m feeling in a hyper mood, tends to sway more rock/indie so at that point I’d go straight to Pretender by the Foo Fighters. Both songs pack a punch that makes me feel great!
What’s your constant go-to album?
Fall Out Boy’s Infinity on High album, every song is so thought out and the commentary is well placed, could listen to that album on repeat.
Who’s your latest music discovery?
Greta van Fleet, they’re taking the narrative they’ve been given and are running with it, they said they sounded like Led Zeppelin, they’re new album has very much embraced that and I can definitely the influences there in there new style and songs
What’s your own track that best defines you as an artist?
At the moment, we’re coming up with new material, so I’m yet to put my stamp in but current songs they’ve released I’d say it would be Decadent Flowers, I bought the single because I connected with it on a deeper level musically and lyrically and I think everyone should check that out while waiting for our new upcoming music.
