The South, (featuring former members of The Beautiful South), including singer Alison Wheeler and lifelong sax player Gaz Birtles are preparing for a series of tour date including a date at Cardiff’s Globe on August 22, 2021.

They will be performing classics such as A Little Time, Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Song For Whoever, Old Red Eyes Is Back, Good as Gold, Don’t Marry Her plus a few choice South originals.

That’s hard as Beautiful South songs we’re all obviously written by Paul Heaton & Dave Rotheray.  Probably Don’t Marry Her – it’s an empowering song to sing.

What’s the track that best defines you as a person?

That’s a hard one.  Many songs escape me once you’re forced to name them. Born This Way by Lady Gaga.  Don’t make excuses about yourself.  You be you and be indignant about it.
