Centrestage Cymru Bring Jesus Christ Superstar To Newport’s Dolman Theatre

Centrestage Cymru return to the stage of Newport’s Dolman Theatre from October 20th – October 23rd, 2021, with their presentation of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

50 Years of Jesus Christ Superstar

Centrestage Cymru’s presentation coincides with the 50th anniversary of Jesus Christ Superstar’s launching on Broadway on October 12th, 1971.

The musical illustrates the last days of Jesus through drama and song including Jesus’ confrontation with Judas Iscariot, his relationship with Mary Magdalene and Judas betrayal of Jesus at the last supper.
