Frank Vickery’s Tonto Evans Brought To Life At Newport’s Dolman Theatre

Newport Playgoers Society return to the Dolman Theatre stage in March with a comedy from the pen of the late Welsh script-writing legend, Frank Vickery.

Tonto Evans is directed by Christopher Bissex-Williams and follows the escapades of ex-miner, country and western fanatic, Ray ‘Tonto’ Evans.

Frank Vickery’s Tonto Evans will be brought to life at Newport’s Dolman Theatre in March 2022 by Newport Playgoer’s Society. Pictured are cast members Clare Jacob, Stuart Fouweather, Emma McCarthy, Nick Brimble, Nicola Davies and Stephen Charles Williams as Tonto Evans.

Tonto is given to dressing up as a Native American, feathered headdress and all, has come into money and dreams of visiting the Wild West and eating beans by the campfire, but Mair, his long-suffering wife of 30 years has other ideas.
