Centrestage Cymru have released a series of fun publicity images to tie in with their forthcoming presentation of the musical Calendar Girls at Newport’s Dolman Theatre.
The bright, fun photographs depict cast and creatives in a variety of fun Calendar Girl style poses. The musical is a global phenomenon that has also inspired a million copycat calendars, a record-breaking movie, and a stage play.

Calendar Girls follows a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women’s Institute who do an extraordinary thing following the death of a much-loved husband. Blasting away all preconceptions of their group, they decide to do an artistic nude calendar to raise money for charity. Upturning preconceptions is a dangerous business and none of them expect the emotional and personal ramifications, but gradually the making of the fabulous and funny calendar brings each woman unexpectedly into flower.
