November is always a bit of a funny month on the reviews front. With Christmas literally weeks away, there are always early indications of seasonal events appearing alongside those of regular gigs, concerts and theatre productions.
There were several instances of great shows across South Wales in November 2022 including a 3-week run of My Fair Lady, plus the welcome return of Blood Brothers at Wales Millennium Centre.
Cardiff’s New Theatre bathed us in nostalgia as UK tours of The Lavender Hill Mob (based on the classic Ealing film studios comedy) and Spike (recalling the early radio career of Spike Milligan) tread the boards.
By the end of November, Christmas began to beckon and how wonderful that this years light trail at Bute Park returned, plus there was a delightful reimagining of The Nutcracker opening this years Christmas at Cardiff Castle events!
