Thomas Howells previews Frankie – The Concert at Newport’s Riverfront Theatre
A show paying homage to the original Jersey boys, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons plays Newport’s Riverfront Theatre on February 11.
The concert celebrates the career of Frankie Valli, one of the biggest pop stars of the 1960s. The Four Season’s success was based on Frankie’s very high and celebrated falsetto, and they amassed over two dozen top 40 hits including songs such as Sherry, Walk Like a Man, Rag Doll and Working My Way Back to You. In 1978, Frankie topped the charts again with his voice on the iconic anthem from the movie adaptation of Grease.
Frankie – the Concert : The Music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons features an 8-piece band, including live brass. The talented performers bring the energy and musical genius to the stage, recreating the atmosphere and excitement that made this young group of artists famous.

The shows producers say, “We really just wanted to deliver a show that Frankie would be proud of, and we are so proud to have been able to do that. Oh What a Night is to be had at a theatre near you with the incredible performance that Frankie- The Concert has to offer all its fans, old and new.
