The Monsters Have Taken Over at The Riverfront Theatre, Newport

There are strange monsters popping up all over Newport, and it seems that they are trying to take over the city. If you want to survive, you’ll need to try out How To Defeat Monsters, an interactive theatre experience, created collaboratively by Flossy and Boo with the Riverfront, coming to the Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre during Easter.

This is a family-friendly event that is suitable for all ages. You can explore the space at your own pace, and be guided by our Monster Seeking Hosts, with an opportunity to meet the monster seekers, during Performance Sessions.

Running from April 1-15, with BSL interpreted performances on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00,11:00 and 14:00. Ticket prices start from £5 with a group discount for groups 3+. Book tickets here.

Dotted around Newport City Centre are 8 QR codes (3 locations are featured in our picture gallery), which if you scan, tell you about some of the peculiar encounters some locals have experienced.

To make sure you don’t miss anything – follow the trail map: QR Code Monsters Trail – Google My Maps or you can head to Flossy and Boo’s SoundCloud account for all the stories in English and Welsh .
