Eleri Releases New Single, Live Wire, Ahead of Sophomore Album, The Carnival

Wales’ country siren, Eleri has released a new single from her forthcoming sophomore album The Carnival. Live Wire which is available on all Digital Service Providers from Wednesday 12 July.

The Welsh country star has been on a roll this Summer following an impressive run of festivals across the UK, garnering national and international radio play for her last single Good for A Girl and shows no signs of stopping as all roads lead to The Carnival.

Live Wire captures the electric energy of a turbulent relationship; the thrilling exhilarating feeling that teeters on the brink of being troublesome and dangerous. It’s a question of whether in you’re in love with the person or getting swept away by the intense passion that you’re entangled in.

“This was one of the very first songs written for the album, and it’s been incredible to see it go through the writing process from a demo on Zoom to a fully-fledged single. When I’ve sneaked a preview of this song at some of my shows this past year, I get asked one main question about it. Was it a good or a bad relationship, that this was written about? We’ll leave that up to you to decide!” Eleri tells us.

The song was co-written with Katie Buckland, produced by Millie Blooms and Dan Fry and recorded in their Monmouth Studio.

October 13th will see the release of Eleri’s second album, The Carnival which will include the singles Snake Like You, Good for A Girl and Live Wire and more details and tracks will emerge from now to its release.

Eleri reveals her single, Live Wire was one of the first tracks to be completed for The Carnival album.

The very next day on Saturday 14th October, Eleri will bring The Carnival to life with a full backing band to celebrate its release and bring to life some old favourites from her previous EPs and debut album Earthbound. The show will take place at Clwb Ifor Bach with support from Megan Lee and Ollie Dixon.
