Open Air Theatre Fun for the Family with Sherwood! The Adventures of Robin Hood in Penarth

Penarth’s award-winning Red Herring Theatre are taking to the open air this month to present the hilarious swashbuckling production, Sherwood! The Adventures of Robin Hood in the grounds of Evenlode School.

Packed with thrills, swashbuckling sword fights and laughter, the production features immortal characters from Robin Hood lore including Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian and the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Sherwood! The Adventures of Robin Hood follows Robin from a fun-loving young man to facing the realities of life around him. Soon he finds himself fighting evil injustice, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.

Tickets for the production, which takes place at 6.30pm (gates open at 5.30pm) on July 23 are just £10 for adults and £5 for children up to 16. Take a chair and a picnic and you’ll be guaranteed to enjoy an evening of family entertainment.

The production is suitable for children ages 5+ and precedes a series of performances at Pembrokeshire’s Carew Castle from July 31 to August 4.
