This year’s Big Splash festival got off to an incredibly damp start on Saturday. The poor weather conditions did not put off festivalgoers as they attended a selection of free street theatre, live music, workshops, arts, and craft activities, undercover at Newport’s Riverfront Theatre, Friars Walk and Le Pub among other venues.

The festival usually attracts over 20,000 visitors bringing the city of Newport to life with an extraordinarily talented and captivating programme of events.
Saturday’s programme several street performances including Big Busk outside Newport’s Le Pub featuring original new material from South Wales country artist, Eleri and Newport band, The Eurekas and plus family fun from Frantastic.
